I have to agree 100% with what everyone else has said except I would multiply the rage by a factor of 10.
I want to throw my PC out of the windoe except I would probably get fired. And guess what? Nobody else knows how to use any of it so I chirp up with "I can knock that together in office" to save some legwork and I end up looking like a complete twat as MS has decided that it would be better to start from scratch. A VERY stupid move IMO as most windows apps have emulated the office/windows style menus/tool bars. The result now is that the leader of the pack looks like the red-headed step child.

They've also added lots of bugs. You can't turn the snapping off when editing points, making it completely unusable!

OFFICE 2007 pisses me off to no end. Unintuitive menus. Complete redesign of the old office design, which actually worked. New features that the vast majority of people do not need. Cannot find functionality that I used to be able to use.
Also...every time I fucking double click on a cell wall in excel, it sends me to the end of that column. This is an option that you cannot disable without losing other functionality. So now I have lost my place in the document. WTF is this shit?!?!?!?!???!!!!!

Here in May 2010 after years of this Shite with the Office 2007 still takes much longer than 2003.
Office 2007 & 2010 - Software design by Retards for Retards! [see MS advertising campaign – “Iam a PC, they simplified it for me because a dropdown UI was just too fucking tough – And now its better because I can click on SHINY stuff all the time!”
(1) Why have a simple dropdown menu that ever one has spent years learning when you can have a big ribbon with pictures instead. Enjoy hours of fruitless searching for functions?
(2) What used to take two clicks in Word or Excel now takes 3 or 4 – But the worse bit is the searching for the function your looking for. You’d need to be autistic to find it quicker to glance at the ribbon and instantly know where everything is.
(3) Really its Microsoft ramming its COCK down your throat and you’d better like and come back for more BITCH – Viable alternative there isn’t one – Just try using a competing program We’re virtually everywhere HAHAHAHA, Suck baby Suck.
(4) Microsoft’s aim is to use the Ribbon (which it’s got the rights to ) farm a generation of Retards that won’t be able to use a simple drop down menus so that they will be forced to use Their Products for Ever. FUCK usability the is about CONTROLLING the market that’s all.

Office 2007 is indeed dreadful. Many of the useful detailed features, controls and settings have been removed or hidden. The ribbon toolbar is incredibly unintuitive (what idiot puts 'insert a new slide' in Powerpoint under the Home menu, not the Insert menu?). Huge swathes of quick keyboard shortcuts have been removed. And Microsoft won't allow you to customise the ribbons, which is utterly annoying and hugely arrogant on their part. The whole thing has been designed for novice users who use only the most basic of features. All the detailed-level things that expert users want have been removed or made incredibly difficult to find. Nice concept overall, but so badly implemented it is untrue.
It is totally crap. I hate it with a passion. I'm a software developer so I'm not exactly the sort of person who struggles to use software normally, but Office 2007 is pathetic. I can't find anything I used to use and it makes me avoid using Office now because my stress levels go through the roof when I can't perform the easiest of tasks anymore. I really HATE IT. Bring back Office 2000... much, much, much better!

The "new and improved" plot windows are 50x slower than office 2000 when dealing with large data sets, and there are actual mathematical *errors* in the calculations! I'm staring at a plot that is good old fashioned, F in high school algebra, *wrong*. I want to submit a bug report, but I can't click help-about to get the version number.
So I lost it. I Googled "Office 2007 is the biggest piece of shit in the history of shit" and landed here.
God help Microsoft. The transition from Office 2000 to 2007 is like trading in an old F-150 (not glamerous, but useful) for a Hummer. (bloated, inefficient and useless.... After two weeks you want to torch it and collect the insurance money.)
